2021 Pastor Strengths Self Evaluation

    Each year TRC asks our pastors to provide information on their health as a pastor and effectiveness in their ministries. The challenges that 2020 presented may have dramatically uncovered your weaknesses and strengths. Our goal with this evaluation is to help TRC evaluate the needs of our pastors so that we may offer tools to help you better serve your congregations and communities.

    PREACHING
    ​The preparation and delivery of clear and convincing sermons that help hearers grow in the knowledge of God and elicit loving and committed responses to Him.
    WORSHIP LEADER
    Designing worship experiences that lead the congregation to express praise, gratitude, devotion, and service to God.​
    TEACHING
    ​You utilize creative and practical teaching methods to help people learn, grow, and serve.​
    ​EVANGELISM
    ​To present Christ Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit, so that people shall come to put their trust in Him as their Savior and serve Him as their King in the fellowship of His church.
    PASTORAL CARE Demonstrating a caring heart by word and action and displaying an understanding of people and their needs.
    ​DEVELOPING BELIEVERS
    ​Encouraging and assisting people in the discovery and use of their gifts for ministry in the context of daily living and the ministry of the church.
    ​LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
    Recognizing leadership potential in others and providing opportunities for developing their leadership skills.
    ​
    ​COUNSELING
    ​The ability to provide constructive help personally, or through directing those in need to specialize, trained professionals or other caregivers.
    ​ADMINISTRATION
    ​The managing of the church’s day to day operations, human resources, and financial resources.
    ​SETTING GOALS
    ​The ability to create a vision of what the congregation can achieve, and then set goals accordingly.
    PLANNING
    ​The ability to establish strategies and action plans to accomplish goals.​
    ​MOTIVATING
    ​The ability to share dreams, goals, and plans in such a way that people want to be involved.
    ​EVALUATING
    ​The ability to compare what is with what ought to be for the purpose of determining direction for ministry or areas of improvement.
    ​CONFLICT RESOLUTION
    ​The ability to manage and resolve open or hostile opposition due to differing viewpoints.
